Austin Farmer's Market

Whenever I have a lull in my traveling schedule, I love exploring the city I live in. Luckily, I live in a really cool city that is constantly evolving, which provides ample exploration opportunities :) One of my favorite things to check out on Saturday mornings is the downtown Farmer's Market - it is always a lively scene full of people perusing local goods with their kids and dogs in tow.

Buying groceries at a local Farmer's Market not only supports your local economy, but is also a great way to save some money on fresh organic goods. Many of the local farms don't have the certified organic label (as it is an extensive and expensive process) but they follow all the organic practices. They often charge much less than the certified organic items at Whole foods. Score! Grab a friend and a local coffee at a tent, and spend the morning buying your groceries and goods for the week!

Pick up some fresh flowers for the week! A great way to brighten up any room. Also a great way to brighten up a friend/significant others' day :)

This is some of my favorite local soap! It comes in plenty of different scents and leaves my skins super moisturized!

Some of my favorites that I always snag at the farmer's market are some fresh bottled juices at the Juice Society, Buddha's Brew Kombucha on tap, and fresh produce from Johnson's Backyard Garden. Just look at their produce!

Love to hear about other local farmer's markets to check out in my off time!
